"Antiperspirant" Not Cause Breast Cancer

So far, some argue, is it true that contain antiperspirant deodorant (anti-sweat) to cause breast cancer. Experts who support this opinion, based on research in the 1990s that mention the plural aluminum compounds found in deodorants, can cause DNA damage that ultimately lead to breast cancer.


But there are also experts who disagree, such as Dr Chris Flower, Director General Association of Cosmetics and Perfumes, England. He said the link between deodorant and antiperspirant with cancer is not unreasonable. This substance has been widely used for more than 50 years, not only on deodorant products only. The data show, these compounds are safe to use.

Conflicting information is certainly confuse you. However, recently the American Cancer Society states no longer wish to extend these rumors. There are five statements that they spend on antiperspirant product, that is not true that:

1. Antiperspirants increase the risk of breast cancer.
2. Applying antiperspirants immediately after shaving underarm hair makes chemicals more easily enter the body, and increase the risk of breast cancer.
3. Content of parabens in antiperspirants cause disease.
4. Antiperspirants prevent cancer-causing toxins out through the lymph nodes, so that the toxins accumulate in breast tissue.
5. Men tend not to be affected by breast cancer as a deodorant ingredient is usually stuck in their armpits, so it is not absorbed by the skin.

American Cancer Society also includes a number of studies to support this assertion.
