"STOP ... I need to get off!" How many times do we scream that in our heads because we are so totally overwhelmed by life in general. We all feel it as women and sometimes we unconsciously do it to ourselves. There seems to be this inbred thought process or maybe its simply an inherent gene that has us believing we can do it all, fix it all, be it all and know it all. It's not that we want to ... it's just that we feel we have to. And, if we don't pull it off and let someone or ourselves down, we do a fine job at beating ourselves up emotionally.

We want to do the best at our jobs and show that we can carry the load without complaining. We sacrifice lunch more than we care to admit and take on an additional project because we don't want to let any one down or look like a slacker. We starve ourselves because society has us believing to be accepted and deemed attractive we have to eat like rabbits.

Okay so ... naturally we are nurturers and emotional healers. We have this deeply seeded compassion to want to care, listen, reach out and help others. As women we bond comfortably, even if we are strangers because of that innate quality we are all born with. So, how do we fix it. It's easy and called mind over matter. Thoughts of love, tolerance, acceptance, and goodwill combined with positive intentions will help draw more good than we could ever imagine and improving our lives. We are what we think just like we are what we eat.

It's important to remember that our minds are literal and can't decipher the difference between "true" and "false," "good" and "bad," or "positive" and "negative." What you say, believe, think, fear, and assume, your mind will do its darnedest to dish out. Don't fret though ... knowing the cause gives you the power to mindfully create the positive results you desire in your life.

So ladies you need to stop beating up on yourselves, take a moment to exhale for Pete's sake and give yourself a break in life. You are pretty darn fantastic without putting yourself in overdrive to please others. Start taking time to please "thee" first. The rest will all fall into place.
